Crafted with Heritage
The lehenga is a traditional Indian garment that has been worn for centuries, particularly in North and West India. Originally worn by Mughal women, the lehenga became popular among Indian royalty and eventually spread throughout the subcontinent. The three-piece ensemble consisting of a fitted blouse, flared skirt, and dupatta represents one of the most elegant forms of traditional Indian attire. Mirror work, known as "shisha" embroidery, originated in the 17th century and has roots in Persian and Central Asian traditions. This reflective embellishment technique was believed to ward off evil spirits while adding sparkle and glamour to garments. Today, lehengas remain a preferred choice for weddings, festivals, and special celebrations, symbolizing grace, tradition, and cultural pride.
